Colorful Dog Fish
You never know what you are going to catch out of the Laguna Madre... here is a colorful little fellow... bright red on his fins and belly... we caught this in the Brownsville ship channel... Capt Randy Rogers at the helm... not a fish we kept....

Lisa Porter and Amazin' Walter work on ceramics...
Wanna learn to make stuff outta mud?.... ceramics i'm talkin' about... here i am working on a small bowl at Lisa Marie Porters studio in Port Isabel, Texas... Lisa will teach you how to play in the mud too.. i recommend it....

Danny Schmidt, famous folk musician imitates Uncle Hermans pose in front of the Wizards Roost on South Padre Island last week... Danny was in town to perform at The Sandbox Inn on South Padre Island, Texas series of house concerts.... fun was had!

Say Goodbye....
Now you see it... now you don't ... the Ocean Tower aka leaning tower of padre was demolished with implosion technology this morning... it was unsettling... it was quick... bababa bang bang ba ba ba ba bang... or ssomething like that... and it was in a pile.... numerous shots on youtube... search southpadreisland implosion

1st place in the pumpkin carving competition at Palm St Pier on South Padre Island goes to ...... yep.... me.... sandyfeet won 2nd... it was a tough competition with about 16 entries... peoples choice voting...
